I'm 80 years young, & have been married to my beautiful bride Barbara for 61 years.
We have 2 fine Sons', 5 Grandchildren, & now we have 3 Great Grandsons'.
I have been retired for 21 years. I was a heavy equipment mechanic supervisor at the time of retirement.
Barb, has been a stay at home Mom throughout our marriage. After our Kids flew the nest, she's been taking care of me, the Grandpa now.
She also loves to follow me around, & take pictures of me while I'm doing my stuff.
That way, I have a good supply of images for when I post things on Lumberjocks.
I have always been a woodworker. You name it, & I've made it, in some form , or another.
I do woodcarving, wood turning, cabinets, chairs, carpentry, rustic furniture.
I have even built an electric guitar for one of my sons.

GLad to be here Dick .. I looked at some of your photos .. All I can say is .. you sure like to carve .. and Wow you sure have some very nice projects. I really liked ther dump truck. I would love something like that to give to my brother … I would never dream of even trying to carve … Takes way to much patience. I will stick to my power tools …and cabinets / furniture ….

Thanks for the compliment Ronl.
I might end up having to buy a larger size hat now.
You should try carving, you could get hooked on it though. It’s kind of addictive.

In the past I remember some one telling us about a place where we can sell our products for free. Can anyone help me find where I can sell. I would like to get something started to where I can sell some of my works. Thank You Jim Earl

I tried the glue and water on a scrap piece of wood and then spayed it with clear laquer and it turned out a nice piece. after doing this I used the same system on both woodburned wall clocks and they both turned out real nice I think. It not only made all the wood stick together but also gave a deep look to the finish. Look at the two pieces and tell me what you think. thank you Jim

Dick
You should build yourself a topper toolbox. Actually, you should make both the rollaway and the topper to match. Progress pics would be fun, and if you need any data, just ask.

Thanks cabinetman,
Right now I’m in the process of making an heirloom wedding gift, but I’ll add it to my list.

Dick,
Maybe you can help me. I have been trying to up load a picture to my profile. I am using Safari on a Mac and for some reason it just will not upload. I have found a picture and choose it and then click on upload and I get a blank page – I let it sit there for awhile but when I check back I have no picture listed. Am I doing something wrong. Bob
